Investigation Closing In On TMZ Snitch
A search warrant was issued to allow investigators access to LAPD computer files. LAPD brass want to know who in the LAPD leaked the infamous Rihanna crime victim photo to TMZ. The warrant will allow investigators to dig through LAPD internet records. Looks like the advocacy rights group STOParazzi’s consistent pressure on the LAPD is paying off. Finally action is being taken. “A victim of a crime should never have their name, let alone their photo, splashed on every computer screen across the planet,” stated STOParazzi President, Terry Ahern.
The photo in question was taken shortly after Rihanna was allegedly assaulted by singer/boyfriend Chris Brown. The investigation is getting closer to Harvey Levin’s snitches. Could this be why TMZ has gone into radio silence on this story? The results will speak for themselves. “We know TMZ received the photo, we are now compiling evidence as to who is responsible, on our end, for selling it to TMZ. That individual will not only lose their job, but could also face criminal charges,” states an LAPD insider.
STOParazzi (A celebrity privacy rights advocacy group-stoparazzi.com,) has an online petition, Rihanna’s Law, aimed at stiffening laws and penalties related to leaking confidential information, either documents or photos. STOParazzi has spearheaded this campaign. They contend celebrity rights to privacy often get trampled because of the “public-figure” excuse.

Whoever released this photo originally should be prosecuted, but it is good that out of something bad is coming maybe and end to this kind of exploitation of crime victims for money. I’m sure the person who sold it is shaking in their boots right now and they deserve to be. It was a sin what they did.
